Yvonne (our fabulous office manager) spotted this article on the Jonas Brothers in the Feb 29 issue of Entertainment Weekly and there’s something about a MySpace calling plan with a phone number - yep, that’s their SayNow number! (though not sure why EW says it’s a MySpace calling plan).

Last week we started testing a new feature that lets you forward a SayNow message from your phone to another friend’s phone and Jesse McCartney (a musician and actor with a super loyal following) popped up on our radar because one of his broadcasts was being forwarded the most! He just sent this to his fans yesterday.

Brian (our biz dev director in New York) is a big fan of Plies and sent a message saying “This could be one of the best broadcasts I’ve heard in a while!” Hence I feel compelled to share…

ABC23 in Bakersfield recently did this story on musicians that are trying new ways to reach their fans (given the overwhelming amount of stuff clamouring for attention on MySpace) and included a little bit on how some of them are using SayNow to connect in a more personal way.

Bands like the Plain White Ts and solo artists like Alicia Keys and 50 Cent all use SayNow’s cell phone social networking tool. Lost Ocean Keyboardist Skyler Johnson said, “We’ll get the message and it will show up on our MySpace and we’ll actually call you back…It’s really cool because fans only normally get to talk to you if you’re coming to their town…
