Miss Nana is the #1 unsigned artist on SayNow and hustles like no other we know. This full page ad on her is in the May 2008 issue of Vibe Magazine.
There’s no need for this 16 year old to flaunt any sex appeal when she’s commanded crowds all over the country. With her skillful wordplay, this 7 year verteran has graced the stages of national tours alongside Chris Brown, Bow Wow, and Ciara. Her name is Miss Nana, and she’s sold over 60,000 units of her 10 mixtapes while faithfully returning phone calls to her 10,000 plus fans on her SayNow.com cell phone campaign…
Last year, she was chosen by Wyclef Jean and MySpace as the winner of the Vibe Verses 3 Contest and was flown to Hollywood to open for Wyclef’s album release party! (She used her SayNow number to remind fans to vote for her everyday during the competition and they came through) Check her out…

One of early bands, After Midnight Project, just sent us a message letting us know some pretty exciting news (which they’ll be sharing with you guys soon on their line). If you haven’t heard of them yet, we’re pretty sure you will in the near future. They’re a super talented band from Los Angeles, CA and totally committed to keeping in touch with their fans. Give them a ring to leave a message and to get future updates from them. They want to hear from you!

As some of you guys know, the Jonas Brothers are getting a gajillion calls everyday and while they do their best to listen to them, a lot of messages end up slipping (because there aren’t a gajillion minutes in a day!)
To make things more manageable, they’ve asked us to help them find a few dedicated fans who’d be interested in joining their SayNow street team. That means you’d be responsible for helping them flag inappropriate messages and finding good ones ones that they absolutely must listen to.
If you’re interested, please send an email to Yvonne Rodriguez at yvonne@saynow.com. Thanks!

Ryan Leslie is a super talented songwriter and producer who’s going to be releasing his own album in June. He’s worked with artists like Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Cassie, Danity Kane, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Donell Jones, Katharine McPhee, New Edition and Usher…so it’s not surprising that when people call and hear his message on SayNow, they go into full-on-American-Idol-mode! Here’s his message…
And here’s one of my favorites from a fan!

A Duke University class is going to Southern High School once a week to help ESL students with their schoolwork - in addition to meeting with them, they’re using SayNow to send broadcasts and to encourage discussion and feedback.
Monica sent a broadcast last night with updates on her upcoming album and what’s been goin on in her life. She also promises to keep us updated more regularly from now on.

Listen to these - so awesome! Lost Ocean has been doing what they call “cellcasts” where they include messages from their fans and answer questions in their broadcasts - kinda like a mini-radio-show.

MADONNA will break records when she becomes the first major artist to release an album via mobile phone….The pop superstar has announced plans to allow Vodafone customers in Europe to download her new album, Hard Candy, to their phones a week before the CD hits stores on 28 April (08). Madonna will release one song per day to Vodafone users. It’s not the first time the singer has offered phone users the chance to download her music early - she released her disco hit Hung Up as a ringtone in 2006, a month before the traditional release of the song.

From HipHopRuckus…
Element 9 Muzik LLC, a newly-founded urban record label, has unveiled an innovative approach to collecting demo submissions from aspiring artists…the label has developed Dial-A-Deal, which allows artists to display their talent live over a dedicated phone line. The innovative approach allows Element 9’s talent scouts to hear a live stream from artists in any location….
The Dial-A-Deal concept was developed by Element 9 Founder, Stu “Xplosive” Pflaum, a 26-year-old who has quickly proven the value of youthful leadership in the industry. Pflaum started out as an intern working with Franklin’s street team and lifestyle marketing division at Asylum Records. He left to form the Element 9 Recordings Publishing Company and scored a quick success by publishing the recent Grammy-nominated hit “Crank That” by recording artist Soulja Boy.
Here’s their intro
Go hit em with your best 16 bars. The contest runs through September.

We’re in this week’s issue of Billboard magazine! Yay! The article is called “Dialing it Up: SayNow Helps Stars and Devotees Keep In Touch.” Here are a few words from our fearless leader…
“Artists love their fans and want an efficient way to connect to them,” SayNow co-founder/CEO Nikhyl Singhal says. “If they send them an e-mail or spend four hours answering questions on MySpace, their audience is still like, ‘Yeah, right, that’s not really them.’ But if the artist calls one of the fans back or leaves a voice mail, fans will know it’s them. There’s magic around the human voice.”
