Tiffany Thornton who plays Tawni Hart on the show Sonny With a Chance was on Good Day NY last week and talked a little about her role on the show and how she uses her SayNow number (you can see it at the 3:00 mark). She says that she does personally leave messages for her fans!
As some of you guys know, we’ve been slowly rolling out a new feature that lets people take LIVE phone calls through their SayNow number whenever they want.
We’re calling it SayNow LIVE and letting a few people test it out right now. I think we’ll eventually turn it on for everyone but for all you fans out there, I just wanted to give you a few tips in case you call and the Jonas Brothers or Selena Gomez answers the phone.
Remember to BREATHE and TRY NOT TO SCREAM! Also, you have a better chance of getting through if
Dave Melillo from Cute is What We Aim For took a live call from a fan earlier this week and sent us this video! The deal was, she had to sing for him and in exchange he’d sing for her :-)
Two Gals Who Are The Envy of Teenage Girls Everywhere
That’s Polly who works out of our LA office (actually she *is* our LA office). She showed the Jonas Brothers how to call their SayNow fans and talk to them LIVE.
Here’s a lucky fan who got a call back! (yep we’re officially in the business of granting wishes :-)
And here’s one not-so-lucky gal - she, unfortunately, was not sleeping by her phone like she should have been.
Okay you’ll have to be patient and listen for at least 35 seconds before it gets good, ’cause it’s GOOD.
Lil Fizz was the first musician to try our “Connect Live” feature which allowed him to call fans back when we were first getting started. In the conversation above, he tried out something new from us that lets fans ring his phone when he wants (without anyone having to give up their real number of course :)
Loren and Jonathan (2 of our awesome SayNow community mavens) were down at Bamboozle over the weekend where they met a cool band A Bird A Sparrow and showed them how to call fans back with our iPhone app. Here’s a recording of the band trying it out for the first time!
Debby Ryan, who plays Bailey Pickett on Disney’s The Suite Life on Deck, called some fans over the holidays. She posted this video and blurb on YouTube yesterday.
Hey! I got the opportunity to call a few of you back and wanted to publish it for you guys!
I have some fun video ideas coming up lately so keep checkin’ in. Also, I will be starting a written blog on my MySpace profile. myspace.com/debbyryan That should keep you guys more updated then anything! Check my new SayNow messages at saynow.com/debbyryan!
Talk to you guys soon and hope you had an AMAZING holidays and have an awesome 2009! More details on the gingerbread winner coming soon!
Aww, how sweet is this?! Selena Gomez called a couple of her SayNow fans last week and posted this video on YouTube. “These people are the reason why I’m here,” she said.
For those wondering how she did this, SayNow has a feature that lets an artist connect live to a fan by pressing 5 after listening to a message. They can also save a message as a favorite, find it on their SayNow page and reply to the person who sent it. Just so you know, we DON’T give out anybody’s real number and we recommend that you DON’T leave your real number in your messages. That said, you should call and leave her a message!!
Sweet. Russell from Nice Guys Finish First, recently called one of his fans back and here’s how it turned out. (Apparently she was *just* complaining about how cell phones suck before he called and has since changed her mind :-)
Nice Guys Finish First is actually just one 17 yr old guy (that would be Russell) who lives on Long Island and has built a loyal following on MySpace. In one week over 700 fans called his SayNow number and he’s responded to over 90 of them personally! Go Russell!
